Quiet furniture workshop with solid timber and natural light

About Loom & Larch

A small workshop for the home

We started in a Seoul workshop with a single oak dining table and a stubborn belief that the furniture you live with should be beautiful, honestly built, and made to last a lifetime.

Our story

Loom & Larch began in a rented workshop in Seongsu-dong in the spring of 2021. We had one solid oak dining table, a set of borrowed tools, and no real plan beyond building furniture we genuinely wanted to live with. That first table sold before it was even finished, and we realised other people were looking for the same thing we were — pieces made slowly, by hands that cared, at a price that wasn't absurd.

Everything we make is built the same way today. We draw each piece in-house and build it with a small circle of makers — a joiner outside Seoul, an upholsterer we've worked with for years, a leather supplier we visit in person — and nothing ships until it has been sat on, leaned on, and checked by hand. If we wouldn't keep it in our own living room for a decade, it doesn't leave the workshop.

We believe in buying less furniture and choosing it well. A single well-built sofa you settle into every evening is worth more than a room full of pieces you never quite loved. That is the quiet idea behind the whole collection, and it's the invitation we extend to you: furnish a home slowly, one honest piece at a time.

What we stand for

Three things we won't compromise on

Built by hand

We favour small workshops over factory lines, and real joinery over staples and glue. Slight variations in grain aren't flaws — they're the fingerprint of the timber and the person who built your piece.

Kind to the planet

Solid, renewable hardwoods from managed forests, water-based finishes, and packaging we take away and reuse. We'd rather build one sofa that lasts twenty years than ten that end up on the curb.

Made to be lived on

Nothing here is too precious for everyday life. These are pieces for real rooms — for kids and pets, for long dinners with friends, for ordinary Tuesday evenings on the sofa.
